Learn more about CMM

CMM is a global resources company that mines, explores and develops base metal projects globally

Finding jobs

We advertise new positions regularly, often daily. To stay up-to-date we recommend you visit the careers page often to view current vacancies. You can also save your job search as an alert so that you will be notified via email of future jobs that match your preferences.
Some positions may be open for a week, some a month. All job postings on our website will tell you the date and time that applications are set to close. Applications received outside of these dates will not be accepted.
CMM Limited, like a number of international companies, can fall victim to organisations or individuals falsely representing us without our knowledge or approval. This type of fraud may take the form of emails, text messages or letters.

Please be vigilant to fraudulent activity if you receive a communication or email regarding potential employment, or an invitation to submit applications to a public email address, supposedly from CMM or one of our subsidiaries.

Please do not send money or pass any personal details to anyone suggesting they can provide employment with CMM. If you have applied for a position through a legitimate channel, we will have the information needed.
If you are unsure a communication you have received is genuine, please review the guidance below:

  1. Vacancies at CMM’s group of operations are advertised through coppermm.com/careers. This is the legitimate place to view and apply for roles with us.

  2. We never make job offers without performing a formal interview process.

  3. Prospective employees are always invited to an interview with CMM personnel before any offer of employment is made. The location of the interview is always provided to candidates either by phone, or email from a verifiable CMM email account.

  4. No money transfers or payments of any kind will ever be requested by CMM as part of the recruitment process, for immigration documents, insurance, or any other purpose.
CMM strongly urges all prospective candidates to check carefully before clicking on or replying to any communications that may look suspicious. If in doubt, please use the Contact Us form on our website.

Applying for jobs

The best way to apply is to submit your resume (or CV) online in response to one of our advertised positions. Your CV must be in MS Word (.doc) or Adobe (.pdf) format. Scanned copies of qualifications and tickets are not required at the initial stage of application. Covering letters are optional unless otherwise stated in the job advertisement.

When you have completed the online application process your resume is then stored in our online database. For more information on our privacy policy, please visit https://www.coppermm.com/privacy/

You are welcome to apply for any advertised position that you believe matches your capability and experience. The best way to do so is through your applicant log-in. That way, you can keep track on the status of all your applications.
CMM offers Graduate and Undergraduate opportunities in most regions in which we operate. These vacancies will be advertised by region on our careers page. Applicants need to be a resident of the region in which they are applying for a position in order to be considered.
We prefer that you don’t do this as there are questions that we need applicants to answer online. When you apply online, you enter our recruitment database which we search regularly. We don’t want to lose your application in someone’s inbox!

The first time you apply for a position online with CMM you will be asked to enter your email address (Username) and create a password and secret question. When you return to our website, the system will remember your email address and will prompt you to enter your password.

Should you forget your password you will have to click on the 'Forgotten your Password?' link. You will then be presented with your secret question which you must answer correctly to have your password sent to your email address. If you are unable to answer your secret question then please contact us and a new password will be generated and sent to your email address.

Due to the high volume of applications we receive we do not provide contact details for our recruitment team. The best way to address a specific concern or query is through the contact us feature on our website. It will be reviewed and then forwarded to the appropriate CMM team member.

Our job alert service allows you to receive emails for up to 90 days and details current CMM job opportunities that match preferences you select. New opportunities that match your preferences will be emailed to you.

Please note your job alert subscription will automatically expire after 90 days if you do not choose to extend your subscription. You will receive a reminder via email and can choose to extend your subscription through the link provided in the email.

Selection Process

Once you have completed your application, you will receive an automated system response confirming that you have submitted your application correctly. Our recruitment team will then review your CV against the requirements of the role and contact you via email if your application is to progress through to the next stage of the recruitment process.

Our candidate experience may include any of the following:

  • Video questionnaire

  • Safety aptitude assessment

  • Telephone interview

  • Behavioural based interviews

  • Site visit

  • Case study/simulation

  • Background and reference checks

  • Pre-employed medical assessment

The questionnaire is conducted by an online video recording system called Vieple. The benefit of using Vieple is that you can complete this questionnaire at a time that is convenient to you using the camera on your laptop or mobile device.

Once you’ve been sent the link to the Vieple portal, you’ll be presented with technical instructions on how to best record your responses. A demonstration video is available on Vieple's website www.vieple.com

Candidates are assessed against the inherent and essential requirements of the role at each stage of the selection process. If at any stage your application is not successful you will be notified as promptly as possible. While we can elaborate on the inherent and essential requirements of the role, it is not possible for us to provide consultation on unsuccessful applications.

Recruitment Agencies

CMM does partner with Recruitment Agencies, however, we have a high direct fill rate so the number of opportunities are limited. If you wish to register you interest in partnering with CMM, the best way is to enter your company details via our Supplier portal.

CMM does not accept responsibility for any fees related to unsolicited applications from recruitment suppliers.

It is a requirement that all agencies registered with CMM submit any candidates via their portal into the PageUp system. Candidates may only be represented for current vacancies, not on a speculative basis.

This ensures there is no question over 'candidate ownership', particularly in contingent situations, and also allows us to better analyse supplier performance over time.

CMM hereby advises that it does not accept any unsolicited candidate representations under any circumstances.
