Finding jobs
Please be vigilant to fraudulent activity if you receive a communication or email regarding potential employment, or an invitation to submit applications to a public email address, supposedly from CMM or one of our subsidiaries.
Please do not send money or pass any personal details to anyone suggesting they can provide employment with CMM. If you have applied for a position through a legitimate channel, we will have the information needed.
If you are unsure a communication you have received is genuine, please review the guidance below:
- Vacancies at CMM’s group of operations are advertised through coppermm.com/careers. This is the legitimate place to view and apply for roles with us.
- We never make job offers without performing a formal interview process.
- Prospective employees are always invited to an interview with CMM personnel before any offer of employment is made. The location of the interview is always provided to candidates either by phone, or email from a verifiable CMM email account.
- No money transfers or payments of any kind will ever be requested by CMM as part of the recruitment process, for immigration documents, insurance, or any other purpose.
Applying for jobs
The best way to apply is to submit your resume (or CV) online in response to one of our advertised positions. Your CV must be in MS Word (.doc) or Adobe (.pdf) format. Scanned copies of qualifications and tickets are not required at the initial stage of application. Covering letters are optional unless otherwise stated in the job advertisement.
When you have completed the online application process your resume is then stored in our online database. For more information on our privacy policy, please visit https://www.coppermm.com/privacy/
The first time you apply for a position online with CMM you will be asked to enter your email address (Username) and create a password and secret question. When you return to our website, the system will remember your email address and will prompt you to enter your password.
Should you forget your password you will have to click on the 'Forgotten your Password?' link. You will then be presented with your secret question which you must answer correctly to have your password sent to your email address. If you are unable to answer your secret question then please contact us and a new password will be generated and sent to your email address.
Our job alert service allows you to receive emails for up to 90 days and details current CMM job opportunities that match preferences you select. New opportunities that match your preferences will be emailed to you.
Please note your job alert subscription will automatically expire after 90 days if you do not choose to extend your subscription. You will receive a reminder via email and can choose to extend your subscription through the link provided in the email.
Selection Process
Our candidate experience may include any of the following:
Video questionnaire
Safety aptitude assessment
Telephone interview
Behavioural based interviews
Site visit
Case study/simulation
Background and reference checks
Pre-employed medical assessment
The questionnaire is conducted by an online video recording system called Vieple. The benefit of using Vieple is that you can complete this questionnaire at a time that is convenient to you using the camera on your laptop or mobile device.
Once you’ve been sent the link to the Vieple portal, you’ll be presented with technical instructions on how to best record your responses. A demonstration video is available on Vieple's website www.vieple.com
Recruitment Agencies
CMM does partner with Recruitment Agencies, however, we have a high direct fill rate so the number of opportunities are limited. If you wish to register you interest in partnering with CMM, the best way is to enter your company details via our Supplier portal.
CMM does not accept responsibility for any fees related to unsolicited applications from recruitment suppliers.
It is a requirement that all agencies registered with CMM submit any candidates via their portal into the PageUp system. Candidates may only be represented for current vacancies, not on a speculative basis.
This ensures there is no question over 'candidate ownership', particularly in contingent situations, and also allows us to better analyse supplier performance over time.
